Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for Self Defence

The London Wing Chun Academy is pleased to announce that we have added a new Brazilian Jiu Jitsu program to our range of martial arts classes in our gym. These classes are ldeal for beginners and covers Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for self defence, in addition to competitive BJJ for sports such as Submission Wrestling and Mixed Martial Arts.
These class is overseen by Proffessors Marc Walder (2nd Degree Black Belt) and Mark Phillips (Black Belt) and meets every Thursday at 8.30pm, Satrurday 10.30am, and Sunday at 1pm at our gym in North London.
Our BJJ class is ideal for new starters interested training in this fun active martial art. A modern martial art, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is very similar to Judo, but with a greater emphasis on ground fighting (newaza). So it fits well with any martial art.
BJJ is a perfect complement to the San Shou (San Da) Kickboxing training run at the London Wing Chun Academy. Both styles share the component of no-gi wrestling which makes them ideal to practice together. Our gym also runs a strength, fitness, and conditioning programe for those wishing to go the extra mile.
